AKAYA, Caribbean fragrances

The story of AKAYA is born from a passion for tropical scents, a subtle original blend of exoticism and authenticity. The AKAYA brand offers a wide range of quality perfumes made in Martinique using alcohol from sugar cane and Agricultural rum AOC.

In 2013, AKAYA opened its Boutique-Workshop where visitors can observe the different stages of manufacturing an cologne or a home fragrance.

Rachana, the perfume creator from Martinique, wanted to create the AKAYA brand with an innovative specificity: the exercise of her nose profession is totally dedicated to local scents, very varied and still little exploited

His studies in Grasse, the perfume capital of the world, as well as his expatriation to Mexico on behalf of a Grasse multinational were opportunities allowing him to master the entire manufacturing process which begins with the formulation, i.e. the writing of a recipe, which continues with the creation of perfume concentrates, and which ends with the development of the finished product: weighing, glazing, maceration and bottling of the perfumes.

Then, in 2016, the Tropical Perfumes Research and Development laboratory opened its doors in the marina patio at Pointe du Bout in Trois-Ilets.​

The AKAYA brand is now able to offer tailor-made perfumes which are distinguished by their level of quality and which are close to luxury perfumes thanks to the quality of their raw materials. AKAYA accompanies you through an olfactory journey: discovery of tropical scents, introduction to the world of perfumery or creation of a personalized fragrance for individuals and businesses.
